C.RoAch grew up in Tyler, Texas and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania around the time he started high school. He tried his hand at video related degrees at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, but did not see a lifelong interest in video production and left almost a year after he started. But it was there he met Cleveland native Ghost Noises and started making real music.
At eleven, C.RoAch was making radio mixtapes from local radio stations in his garage. Ten years later, he had gone to his first music festival(held annually at a friends farm) and that experience was what fueled his creativity to release “From Rocha, Wit Love” which featured his cohorts Eddie & Bozz, Ghost Noises himself, DNA from his hometown of Tyler, Texas and Black & Broke. Released on his previous website RUAffiliated?, and it had over 1000 downloads.
After a successful release show on the same ground as his first festival, starring Local Talent “Oh No! The After life” a metal band and “Zoolieu Tree” a reggae band he helped revive the idea for Facefest. He performed at Ragoo Festivoo alongside Zoolieu Tree, bringing him into the fold of the Ragoo Collective. Started by a local musician, its a unified number of local bands in the Northern Pittsburgh area. Facefest three had 44 bands in a three day time span, held mid august by C.RoAch and its creator Dave Hamilton. Held at Slippery Rock Dunes, it was host to over 500 attendees and dozens of vendors, musical acts, and performances.
The following year he tore Ghost away from dropping Dirty Jesus Beats and his Caffine in Cleveland and they put out the Thrift Store Piff Gang EP, incorporating a DJ ADVB into the fold. Mr. Smith and C.RoAch put out The High Price of Low expectations that year aswell. “Bamm Bamm” Smith was a member of the Rap Duo turned band Black & Broke. They were introduced to RoAch Motel through Ghost when the pair was in college. Each release came with shows in their respective areas, C.RoAch began receiving monetary compensation for every show. He performed solo this year at the 3rd annual Ragoo Festivoo. Facefest 4 was headlined by 1 man jam band Zach Deputy, attractive over 500 patrons again to Slippery Rock. Then He held his own Septemer Shakedown, attracting 170 people. Then the grounds cut ties with C.RoAch and the Ragoo Collective.
2013 C.RoAch cut back on performances after releasing BluntSmoke on the same day as Ghost noise dropped his Psychedelic tape. At that years Ragoo he played alongside who he would call his “House Band” the Stationary Pebbles. Then He took a year off, doing selective shows in Cleveland and at Rock Falls park in Slippery Rock.
in 2015 saw the release of “A little Bit Further” on his Soundcloud in January featuring songs that wouldn’t make the cut of his next release “Beyond The Bluntsmoke” which he put out on his Bandcamp page.which featured Charlie slum & the band Beauty Slap of Pittsburgh and DNA once again. So far in 2016 he put out a 30 minute mix, a la DJ sets, entitled “Pipe Dream” which had no features, but production by well known DJ DVNK SINΛTRV on Tiny Little Scratch.
The cover art was done by Micah Schirra, who he is currently collaborating with on a comic book entitled Ravenous. Through 2016 he switched his focus to Movies, a passion he had longed for since High School, and he moved to Washington DC.
